This has been a long time coming…

Time has passed, lessons learned, redemption found, and, at 64 years old, I’m ready to make this happen!

Our new CD “Sacred Ground” has been in the works for over two and a half years. It’s finally time to get our music into the hands of the people.

I’m counting on you to back this album release and ensure this music reaches the maximum audience possible. I know supporting an album release online is a little “new wave”, but this IS the new music business model. Times have changed dramatically. In order to get this album finished, and get it heard, it’s going to take people like YOU to make it happen.

                                 First, let’s go back…

Do you remember the early Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) records? Remember how intensely mesmerizing those tracks were?  The complexity and improvisational masterworks made you THINK, and feel ALIVE!

It was music created with a great deal of depth and soul, during the most magical era in rock history.  There was an explosion of creativity in the music scene, the likes of which had never been witnessed.  Our goal with CTA is to bring back that magic by creating innovative original music once again.

We may be older, but we’re sure as hell not DEAD!

Our new band CTA (California Transit Authority) has been described as sounding like:

“Chicago on Steroids”.

My band-mates, who grew up on the early Chicago/CTA music, have a deep respect for its origin and integrity. They’ve put their heart, and soul into this project.

We’ve now moved forward, and are finishing up our sophomore album, “Promise”. It includes an all-star cast of world-class musicians, and 12 original tracks. 

Music for a Higher Cause

At a time when funding for music programs across the country have all but vanished, and generic pop music has taken over the airwaves, WE are reaching out.

We are DEVOTED to creating, and performing true to the values and standards of the original CTA.

In other words, music that will stand the test of time.

That’s why we are partnering up with The Fender Music Foundation.

It’s a music charity funded by people who want to change the state of music education; people who believe music is an integral part of an enduring society.

We will be donating 10% of the album’s net profits to help provide instruments to school music classrooms, after school programs and music therapy programs. We’re hoping that exposing today’s youths to quality Jazz/Rock music will help to inspire them with a sense of hope and freedom to dream big.

Learning to play a musical instrument, and making music can save lives. It definitely saved my life. It kept me from giving into a life of crime, and kept me focused on what is possible.

The Fender Music Foundation supports programs that are ongoing, sustainable and give more people the opportunity to make music that would not, otherwise, have that chance.
